Publishing Rules & Transparency Standard

These rules keep Society of Timor trustworthy. They apply to every Organisation profile, programme and figure. Breaking them leads to removal of the content; repeated or serious breaches lead to account suspension.

Honest figures

  • Transparency figures are computed from your accounting on the platform. Do not maintain a second set of books to make the page look better.
  • Indicator values must be measured. If you did not count it, mark it “not measured” — a blank is honest, a guess is not.
  • Audited statements uploaded must be the auditor’s document, unaltered.

Programmes

  • Describe work that is happening or has happened. Planned work is labelled as planned.
  • Photos must be of your own work, with the consent of the people in them; never of beneficiaries in sensitive services.
  • Donor and partner logos only with their permission.

Fundraising

  • Appeals must state what the money is for and who receives it.
  • No fundraising for work the Organisation cannot deliver or for individuals in private capacity.

Prohibited

  • Profiles for Organisations you do not represent
  • Publishing any beneficiary-identifying information
  • Discriminatory or political-party campaigning content
  • Contact details or links placed to bypass platform safety features
